A&R LOGISTICS—SAVANNAH EXPORT FACILITY

LEAD Construction was hired by A&R Logistics as the Construction Manager to insure the project team delivered on-time and within budget.  LEAD aided with pre-construction efforts including site selection, design coordination and selection of project team members.  LEAD worked to insure that all of A&R’s design requirements were incorporated to the overall project design to eliminate costly modifications and corrections during the project.

This project consisted of the ground-up development and construction of a 960,000 sq. ft. rail-served packaging and distribution facility.  The building is conventional steel construction with site cast tiltwall panels and a TPO roof.  Work also included mass grading, overall site improvements, and rail construction.  Interior finish-out included not only office and admin space, but highly advanced and technical packaging and sorting equipment.

Throughout construction, LEAD visited the site on a bi-monthly basis and provided progress reporting to the A&R team as well as third party vendors.  LEAD was responsible for coordinating installation of all packaging & sorting equipment, data cabling, security systems, CCTV, and all furniture.
